01 / SCOPEColor change and protection are different briefs.
Start by telling the installer what matters most: changing the appearance, protecting selected panels or a combination of both. Ask which exact film product they recommend and why. Do not assume that every vinyl wrap or protective film performs the same way. Request the manufacturer’s product sheet, care instructions and warranty terms for the selected material. The tool above prepares questions; it does not diagnose paint or replace an installer’s inspection.
02 / PREPARATIONPhotograph the car before the quote.
Record the front, rear, both sides and close-ups of chips, repaired areas and peeling clear coat. Note previous paintwork and any existing film or coating. Ask whether removal, cleaning, trim handling and paint preparation are included. A quote for application on sound original paint may not cover correction or removal of old material. Keep the agreed preparation scope in writing before you leave the vehicle.
03 / HANDOVERInspect edges as well as color.
Ask to see the chosen finish on a physical swatch in daylight before approving it. At collection, inspect edges, seams, corners and the agreed coverage areas with the installer. Get written washing and curing instructions for that specific product. Save the film name, installation date, invoice and warranty contact. A beautiful photograph is not a substitute for a documented installation and aftercare plan.
